Episode 23 - A Toast to Chernobyl

In this episode we discuss this Memorial Day’s big releases. From CHERNOBYL DIARIES to MOONRISE KINGDOM to MEN IN BLACK 3…That’s it. Those are the big releases of the week. Go see MOONRISE KINGDOM, we heard it’s great. Also, we discuss the new trailers for SKYFALL, THE GREAT (or not so great) GATSBY, and THE MASTER. We then discuss the most controversial movie news of the week (or of all time?…nah), the moving of GI JOE: RETALIATION from summer of this year to March of next year. Shocking!

PS - Stay tuned for our review of MEN IN BLACK 3 in the second part of this episode.

Enjoy!

Episode 22.5 - The Avengers

In this second part of the epic two-parter, we review THE AVENGERS. From Iron Man, to Hulk, to Cobie Smulders, and Sam Jackson’s “hotspacho,” we discuss it all! It’s all  AVENGERS talk here, plus we go slightly in-depth about what made the original IRON MAN film great and why IRON MAN 2 is so maligned. Enjoy!

Recorded in “Dog-Barking-Scope.”

Episode 22.5 - The Avengers

Episode 22 - Ding Ding

After a two week hiatus we’re back with an episode so big that we had to release it in two parts! Here in part one we discuss Steve Harvey’s THINK LIKE A MAN, that movie with old British actors at a hotel in India, and the release of the biggest movie of the year so far, THE AVENGERS. We then discuss the major trailer releases of the week, which include THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, and THE EXPENDABLES 2. We also go on several tangents, which include Steve Harvey, Christopher Nolan’s stance as a director, and ROCKY III. Enjoy!

Also, please excuse the random barking.

Episode 21 - Hulk vs The Incredible Hulk

In this episode we discuss this week’s new releases, including LOCKOUT (DIE HARD meets TAKEN meets ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK meets…the list goes on and on), and THE THREE STOOGES, which may not be entirely terrible, apparently. We then ponder about the rumored cast of the new ROBOCOP reboot. Then we rank the Marvel movies and talk about THE AVENGERS. We try to answer the age-old question: HULK vs THE INCREDIBLE HULK…and Jennifer Connelly vs Liv Tyler. Finally, we review THE CABIN IN THE WOODS (spoiler-free!). So, enjoy!

Episode 21 - Hulk vs The Incredible Hulk

Episode 20 - Titanic in 2D

In the episode we discuss this week’s 90s-ridden nostalgia flicks. First dissect each and every entry in the AMERICAN PIE saga. From the original AMERICAN PIE to AMERICAN WEDDING to AMERICAN PIE: NAKED MILE to AMERICAN PIE: GHOST PROTOCOL…Okay, we don’t actually look at each AMERICAN PIE film. There are eight of them…EIGHT!…Anyway, we then discuss DUMB AND DUMBER 2, TOTAL RECALL: THE REBOOT, and the inevitable (and tragic) lack of Rachel Weisz in the new reboot of THE MUMMY. After all that we dive in (get it?) into TITANIC…in 2D…on DVD…What do we think about one of the biggest films of all time? Listen and find out! Also, enjoy!

Episode 20 - Titanic in 2D

Episode 19 - Junior 2: Senior

In this episode we discuss WRATH OF THE TITANS (who cares?), and MIRROR MIRROR (not for us). We continue to argue that Sam Worthington is not a very good action star or a good actor or an entertaining person. Then we talk the big news of the week: sequels. ANCHORMAN 2 was announced and we’re hopeful. TWINS 2 was announced and we’re confused. Then we review the action film THE RAID (Spoiler: it kicks ass). Enjoy!

Episode 19 - Junior 2: Senior

Episode 18 - Female Rambo

In this episode we discuss what Box Office numbers really mean to us, Hitchcock (the movie), THE RAID, and how whiny Roger Ebert sounds in his review of THE RAID. Then we move on to talk about and review the biggest movie of the year (so far), THE HUNGER GAMES. How’s the story? How’s the action? How’s the characters? How’s Jennifer Lawrence’s figure? All these questions and more will be answered in this episode! Listen and enjoy!

Episode 18 - Female Rambo

Episode 17 - TMNT

In this episode we discuss the new trailer for PROMETHEUS and how damn great it looks (looks like there are aliens and stuff). Plus, we preview THE HUNGER GAMES and wager how big this big movie is going to be…it’ll be big. Then we get down to business and review 21 JUMP STREET, talk the Michel Hazanavicius-directed OSS 117 films, and the days-old debate between WINNEBAGO MAN and SHUT UP, LITTLE MAN. Also, turtles which are teenage and mutant ninjas are discussed.

Listen and enjoy!
